Grounded 2 Roadmap 2026

The Grounded 2 roadmap lists Fall and Winter content after Into the Abyss, followed by Future Plans, but it does not announce a 1.0 release date

Grounded 2 roadmap 2026: quick answer

The current Grounded 2 roadmap places the next named content in Fall and Winter windows after Into the Abyss, followed by a broader Future Plans section. Fall highlights SCA.B Flavor Schemes, the Rotting Wood Pile area, and a Potato Beetle mount, while Winter lists Tier IV Omni-Tools plus more buildings, materials, Buggies, bosses, and creatures. Base Moving appears under Future Plans, but the roadmap does not give Grounded 2 a 1.0 release date.

What is already released

Into the Abyss is the latest released milestone shown before the new Year 2 plans, so it should not be read as an upcoming roadmap promise. The update arrived on August 11, 2026 and expanded play around and below the pond, while the PlayStation 5 edition launched on the same day. Earlier milestones such as Toxic Tangle and Beat the Heat are also part of the game’s release history rather than the list of content still to come.

Grounded 2 Fall update plans

The Fall window names three visible highlights: SCA.B Flavor Schemes, a Rotting Wood Pile area, and a Potato Beetle mount. Flavor Schemes are presented as new interface color choices, while the other two items point to a fresh place to explore and another rideable creature for the Buggy system. Obsidian has not attached an exact day to this window, and deliberately hidden roadmap entries are not assigned names or functions here.

Grounded 2 Winter update plans

The Winter window broadens several existing systems instead of naming one headline expansion. It lists new buildings, building materials, Buggies, bosses, and creatures, together with Tier IV Omni-Tools for later progression. The roadmap does not provide an exact Winter release day, and any covered entries remain undisclosed rather than being filled with community guesses.

Future plans after Winter

Base Moving is the clearest named feature in the longer-term Future Plans section and is described as moving an entire base. The same part of the roadmap signals continued additions across the park, combat, equipment, creatures, Buggies, and building, but it does not assign those broader plans to a dated update. This guide therefore treats Base Moving as planned development, not as a feature that is already available or guaranteed for a particular month.

Release timing and the road to 1.0

Roadmap labels such as Fall, Winter, and Future Plans are development windows rather than exact release appointments. Grounded 2 remains in Early Access, and the official store description says the team is not locking the project to a hard 1.0 date because timing depends on development and player feedback. The safest reading is to use named roadmap items for direction, then rely on an official update post before treating any planned feature as released.
